Yes, once upon a time Carl Edwards use to date Olympic swimming goddess Amanda Beard. Eventually they went their separate ways (I think it was because Carl kept bringing his mommy to all their dates and Amanda found to that be very creepy). So what is Amanda up these days?

Well when shes not choking up at the Beijing Olympics to people twice her age. She can be found teaming up with PETA campaigning against the use of fur in fashion. Well whoopity freaking do. Hey, we're on top of the food chain, you animal hugging freaks, deal with it! While I may support naked chicks, I surely don't support animal rights groups. Animals don't have rights, you know why? Because they don't have the brain power to get up and make a stand, but I'm sure they will in the near future.

I know I will and let us hope that Carl will stop listening to his momma's rants about how girls are "the devil" and bag him a nice one. Aflac to take over sponsorship on the 99 car for 2009 and beyond

Aflac and Roush Racing came to an agreement today over who sponsorship of the 99 car driven by Carl Edwards. The deal is over three years and is estimated at 78 million dollars, which is about 26 million dollars per year folks. The deal expires in 2011, right along with Carl Edwards' contract giving Aflac the option to jump to a new team with Edwards if Edwards doesn't find things satisfactory at Roush three years from now. Meanwhile this leaves the door open on what Carl's former sponsor, Office Depot, will do in the future, rumor has them going to sponsor one of Micheal Waltrip's team for 2009.

The Great Humpy makes his All-Star pick

Every year Lowe's Motor Speedway president Humpy Wheeler makes his pick on who will win the Sprint All-Star Race. This year Humpy thinks Carl Edwards will take it all on Saturday night. Really Humpy? You pick Carl Edwards. You sure are really taking a gamble on this one. It not like Carl hasn't domniated on any of the 1.5 mile tracks or anything. But then again, who am I to question the Great Humpy. In the 19 years he has made a pick, he has been right 10 times. That means he's batting over .500, folks. He has a better winning percentage than the New York Yankees do right now. Color me impressed. By the way, Humpy also makes a "dark-horse" pick and Tony Stewart is that pick.
